4 things you must do before you relocate

if you forget to do these tasks before you move, even the best packers and movers in Pune, Hyderabad, Gurgaon, etc. won’t be able to help you!

House relocation is by itself a potentially difficult task to execute, particularly if you are moving without hiring the services of reputed and professional packers and movers in India. The hassles of the issue may amplify if you do not perform certain crucial tasks before you relocate. And you will need to do all these tasks by yourself. Do not expect a helping hand on this one from anybody! Here are the 4 most prominent of those ‘must perform’ tasks.

Here are the 4 things that you must do before your house relocation

  • Update your address with the bank: You must inform your bank about your relocation and provide them with the new address, unless you want to go back to your old house every month to collect all the letters from your bank. Also, give your bank the precise date from which you want them to start sending correspondences to your new address.
  • Inform your utility service providers: Your utility service providers must know that you are moving to a new address and that you no longer require their services, or at least not at the old address. This will avoid a lot of confusion and hassles in the days immediately after you have moved.
  • Search for good schools nearby: If you have kids, looking for good schools near your new residence should be at the top of your priority list. This should in fact dictate your choice of a new apartment. If there aren’t any reputed schools nearby, you simply can’t move to that place.
  • Look for domestic helpers: When you move to a new place, it is obviously better to have hired a servant or a cook beforehand than looking for them after you have moved, isn’t it? So make sure you do not skip this task, or be prepared to hear a mouthful from the missus!

This list is most definitely not exhaustive but these 4 tasks need to be done on priority before you relocate.
